Viola odorataA native perennial flower. Adapted to woods and pasture. The purple flowers are edible and plant is medicinal. Make sure your spring salads include violets. Grows exceedingly well in hard bark much as a companion with bush fruit such as blueberries, elderberries and currants. Will bloom with yellow flowering Crandall American black currant and most early bulbs such as daffodils and tulips.
