Aloe vera - Aloe vera aloaceae
Cactus Aloe Vera Native to the SW, aloe is usually grown in pots in the eastern US for its medicinal uses. A good choice for a house plant, with size controlled by the pot it grows in. Many uses in the home such as body rub, treating burns, ingredient for salves, a bruise banisher, soothes sunburn,insect bites, frostbite rub,rashes,health drinks, and used in toothpaste. Comfrey - Symphytum officinale
This wild type comfrey with yellow flowers is a popular herb used primarily as a poultice for bruises. Once planted it is hard to remove. Its deep tap root breaks up clay soils and nourishes the soil. Leaves can be cut back several times a year as a nutritive mulch for other plants. Very good nectar source for bees and butterflies. Space 4' circle. Zones 3-9

Russian Comfrey - Symphytum x uplandicum
Russian comfrey is a hybrid of S. officinalis x S. asperum. Sterile. White, purple or blue flowers with the same uses as common comfrey. Space 4' circles. Zones 3-9
