Black Gold Sweet Cherry

Prunus avium

Black Gold is a new self fertile, dark sweet cherry, introduced from the Cornell cherry breeding program. Large fruit resists cracking in wet weather. A cross between Stella and Gold, it resists late frost and blooms late. Space 10' circle for dwarf and 15' circle for semi dwarf and 25' circle for standard. Much more adapted to eastern US conditions than Bing cherry, which it is very similar to in fruit appearance. Zone 4-7.
