From the Kearneysville, WV USDA station, this is a high quality type which ripens in late September, attaining best quality after some six weeks in storage. Fruit is sweet and buttery. Tree is vigorous and fairly precocious. Pollinates with Blakes Pride or Seckel. Fire blight resistant. Dwarf are 8'-14' standards are 15'-30'. Zone 5-9.
