The ideal fresh-eating mulberry; delightful sweet tart flavor. Fruits 2 1/2" long. The standard others are judged by. It ripens for 6 weeks. Illinois Everbearing is a natural selection from the wild with native characteristics. Space 30' circle. Zone 5-8.
Be aware in warmer climates Illinois Everbearing is susceptible to 'Popcorn Disease'' Popcorn Disease is caused by Ciboria shiraiana. It swells and distorts fruit and makes them inedible. Collier and Illinois Ever bearer are very susceptible where the entire crop can be lost.
