Ficus carica (Celeste)
Also known as the "Sugar Fig" in the South, the Celeste variety is a Southern tradition. It is well-loved for its long lifespan, hardiness, and excellent reputation built over many generations of cultivation. The small "eye" at the bottom of the fruit helps keep insects out. The main crop forms early on last year’s wood, and it is well-suited for growing in pots.
