Malus spp. (Centennial)

A low-spreading tree, reaching about 12 feet in height. Known for being one of the sweeter, more delicious ornamental apples, perfect for eating straight from the tree. Very hardy and introduced from Excelsior, MN. Features an early bloom and an attractive tree shape. The apples have a subtle hint of crab apple flavor and ripen in August. A great complement to cheese. Hardy in Zones 3-7.
