Prunus salicina x angustifolia (Bruce Plum)

The Bruce Plum is an early-fruiting, open-spreading small tree, a cross between the Japanese plum and the native Chickasaw plum. It ripens before the Methley variety and is resistant to brown rot. Introduced in 1921 by A. L. Bruce of Donnelly County, TX. Hardy in Zones 6-8.
