Rosemary officinalis – Arp Variety

The Arp variety of rosemary is winter-hardy through USDA Hardiness Zone 6. Known for its hardiness, the Arp rosemary has a bushy, spruce-like appearance and is more robust than other varieties. It should be spaced in a 3'–4' circle. In Zone 6, it is recommended to plant Arp rosemary in a sheltered location to protect it from winter winds. A sand mulch or planting it near large rocks in full sun will help the rosemary survive the coldest winter conditions. Rosemary can be harvested year-round and is especially flavorful in French breads and potato dishes. Recommended for Zones 6-8.
