Note: Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship plums to California, Washington, and Europe.

A native plum species originally cultivated by Native Americans before European settlement.

  • Growth Rate: Moderate, averaging 12 to 18 inches per year.
  • Flowers: Clusters of tiny, fragrant flowers bloom in spring on the previous year's wood, appearing before the leaves.
  • Fruit: Small, tart fruits transition from red to yellow as they ripen. The fruit is edible and ideal for making jelly.
  • Wildlife Benefits: An excellent food source for wildlife.
  • Form: Rounded tree shape with slender, thorny branches.

This attractive, pollinator-friendly tree thrives in Zones 5-9 and is self-fertile. While it can grow up to 25 feet tall, it is most commonly found under 12 feet.
