Actinidia arguta (Dumbarton Oaks)
This early-maturing, hardy kiwi ripens three weeks earlier than Anna. One of our favorites! The original vine grows in Georgetown, Washington, DC. Only "Fifty Five," a female kiwi, ripens earlier at the nursery. Space plants 15 feet apart on a T trellis. Suitable for USDA Zones 5-8. (Don't forget to order a male if you don't already have one – see Hardy Male.)
