Pyrus communis (Green Jade aka Crisp 'n Sweet)
Due to import restrictions, pears cannot be shipped to California.
Green Jade pear combines the juiciness and rich sweetness of a traditional European pear with the crispness of an Asian pear, creating an exceptional flavor and texture. Unlike traditional European pears, which must be harvested before ripening, Crisp 'n Sweet ripens directly on the tree by mid-August. This cultivar of Green Jade is easy to grow, highly resistant to fire blight, and produces reliably thanks to its frost-tolerant blooms.
