Legacy is similar to a high quality highbush variety in flavor and yield. Adaptable to different climates and soil types. One of the most reliable to grow anywhere in the US. Produces sweet, medium-large berries rated high in flavor trials. Leaves exhibit crimson Fall color. In mild Northwest winters, foliage can stay evergreen. Legacy grows well in mid Atlantic states. Introduced in 1993 from USDA, Beltsville, MD.

- Pollination: Most blueberries are self fertile or partially self fertile,
another variety may increase pollination and yield. Site: Full-sun.
- Soil: Acidic. Amend with shredded pine mulch/organic matter.
- Spacing: 4-6ft. circle.
- Mature size: 4-6ft tall
- Bearing age: 2-3 years of age.
- Bloom time: April.
- Ripening time: July-August.
