Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Reka’ – Blueberry

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship blueberries to California or Oregon.

Reka is a very early-season highbush blueberry introduced from New Zealand, known for its large, flavorful fruit and strong adaptability. It performs well across a range of soil types and is often considered more adaptable than other early varieties such as ‘Duke’.

Plants grow 4–6 feet tall and form a productive, upright shrub. Fruit ripens very early in the season and is excellent for fresh eating, baking, and preserves. In fall, foliage develops attractive burgundy-red coloration, adding ornamental value to the landscape.

Reka is well suited for home gardens and small orchards, especially where early harvests are desired. It performs best in full sun with acidic, high-organic-matter soils and consistent moisture.

Spacing: 5 feet in rows or 5-foot circles
USDA Zones: 4–7
Pollination: Self-Fertile (improved yields with cross-pollination)
