Prunus cerasus x P. fruticosa (Carmine Jewel Bush Cherry)

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship cherries to CA.

Carmine Jewel is part of a group of the best-tasting bush cherries. The dark red, almost black fruit is sweet and packed with nutrients, making it a superfood. Adaptable, low-maintenance, and highly pest-resistant, Carmine Jewel thrives in a variety of conditions. It typically grows to a height of 6-8 feet.

Developed by Dr. Les Kerr in Canada at the University of Saskatchewan, Carmine Jewel is a cross between Prunus cerasus (sour cherry) and Prunus fruticosa (dwarf ground cherry). Introduced in 1999, it has become a popular choice for edible landscaping. This hardy plant is suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 2-7.
