Prunus avium ‘Sam’ (Sam Sweet Cherry)
Due to import restrictions we are unable to ship Cherry to CA...
‘Sam’ is an early-ripening black sweet cherry prized for its excellent flavor and dependable performance. The fruit is notably crack-resistant in wet weather, making it a strong choice for regions with rainy harvest seasons. A long-time nursery favorite, ‘Sam’ is also valued for its canker resistance, an important trait for eastern growing conditions.
More adaptable to eastern climates than ‘Bing,’ ‘Sam’ is also an excellent pollinator for ‘Rainier.’ Trees require a compatible pollinator for fruit set.
Note: Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship cherries to California or Europe.
