Prunus americana (Geraldine)

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship Plum to California.

The Geraldine plum is an exceptional native ornamental discovered and selected by Bill Russell of College Station, PA. This colonizing shrub, which can grow up to 15 feet tall, branches from the ground and produces red-cheeked fruits with apricot flesh in the summer. It's a great plant for wildlife. The plant is self-fertile, but it may be susceptible to plum curculio damage in some areas. In the spring, a bouquet of fragrant white flowers fills the air with a honey-like scent. The original tree is from Pennsylvania and thrives in Zones 5-9.
