Crimson Passion is a high-quality, dark red bush cherry variety introduced by the University of Saskatchewan. It is an excellent fresh eating type, also suitable for processing due to its high sugar content (up to 22 Brix). The fruit weighs around 6 grams, which is large enough for home cherry pitters. This shrub grows to a height of 4-5 feet, with no suckering, and should be spaced 6 feet apart. It thrives in USDA hardiness Zones 2-7.
