Bright yellow flowers, followed by black fruit. Safe for people and animals. A healthy choice eaten fresh, for juicing or baking. High in vitamin C, antioxidants, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium.
White Pine Blister Rust can be a problem in some areas of the eastern US. Check with your local agricultural agent for restrictions on currants. Some New England counties have restrictions. It will be your responsibility to know if they are restricted.
Zone 3-7, Self fertile, average mature height 3-5'. Small thorns.
