Rosa rugosa hybrid – ‘Purple Pavement’ (Rotsmeer)

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship Purple Pavement Rose to CA.

Purple Pavement Rose (also known as Rotsmeer in Germany) is a compact, carefree rugosa hybrid valued for its strong fragrance, repeat blooming, and exceptional hardiness. Plants form a dense, dwarf shrub reaching about 3 feet tall and wide, often spreading into a 6-foot clump over time.

Flowers are fragrant and appear in repeat flushes beginning slightly later than ‘Foxy Pavement’. In late summer through fall, plants produce large, bright red rose hips that add ornamental interest and can be used for teas, jellies, and preserves.

This variety is notably disease resistant, with clean foliage and strong tolerance to harsh conditions. It performs well in low-maintenance landscapes and coastal or exposed sites where many roses struggle.
