Tallahatchie is the seventh release from Neal Peterson's pawpaws. Notable characteristics include 5% or fewer seeds, and exquisite flavor with floral notes. A favorite variety for making pawpaw ice cream due to its silky smooth texture. Tallahatchie often bears 5 or more fruits in one cluster, a wonderful characteristic for backyard growers, but for larger orchards, thinning may be required to even out harvest, as the clusters often do not ripen at the same rate. Medium to large size fruit (9oz) ripens mid-late season.
