Prunus persica – Martin Peach
Due to import restrictions we are unable to ship Peaches to CA, WA.
Martin is a chance seedling discovered and propagated by Amos Fisher of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Found growing naturally near Lancaster, this variety is known for late blooming and hardiness. It has strong resistance to leaf curl and rarely develops brown rot.
Fruit is medium-sized with very high-quality yellow flesh and excellent flavor. Good for both fresh eating and canning. Martin ripens approximately 20 days after Red Haven, making it a useful variety for extending the peach harvest season.
The fruit does not develop the red skin coloration generally preferred for commercial production, but its flavor, hardiness, and disease resistance make it an excellent choice for the home orchard.
Ripens approximately 20 days after Red Haven.
