Pyrus pyrifolia (Geumcheon 금천 Korean Pear)
Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship European or Asian Pears to California.
This new Asian pear from Korea has impressed us with its large, flavorful fruit. The scion wood was sent to us by Steve Yoon from Atlanta, GA, and we appear to have secured it for propagation, though no one else has. The fruits are large and colorful, with a russet apple-like appearance and a red blush. Our tree began bearing fruit early, and it shows excellent fire blight resistance. A delightful taste treat. Hardy in Zones 6-8.
