Potomac Pawpaw®
Asimina triloba ‘Potomac’ (Potomac Pawpaw)
‘Potomac’ is a premium pawpaw variety known for its exceptionally fleshy fruit, with seeds comprising only about 4% of the fruit’s weight. The flavor is sweet and rich, and the texture is firm, smooth, and melting. The flesh is a medium yellow, and fruits are large—typically 12 ounces or more.
The tree is moderately productive with strong apical dominance, giving it a more upright and less spreading growth habit than most pawpaws. Overall fruit quality is outstanding. This variety is trademarked by Peterson Pawpaws.
