Prunus salicina – Methley Plum
Due to import restrictions we are unable to ship Plum to CA.
Methley is a Japanese purple-red plum with juicy, sweet red flesh, perfect for fresh eating. The small, disease-resistant tree is an excellent choice for organic growers, as it thrives in warmer climates, including Hawaii. Methley is self-fertile, producing fruit when planted alone, and also serves as a good pollinator for other Japanese plums.
A heavy producer, Methley bears fruit reliably and requires minimal care. The seed adheres to the flesh, but its rich flavor and soft texture make it a favorite for home orchards.
