Rubus idaeus – English Thornless Red Raspberry

The English Thornless red raspberry is a spring-bearing variety known for its sweet fruit and thornless canes. This long-lived variety has been cultivated at our nursery for over 30 years. It ripens early, just a few days after black raspberries. Primocanes (mature canes) are thornless, though very young growth on plants in our 2-inch to quart pots may show small, fuzzy thorns — this is normal. Once fully mature, the primocanes will be completely thornless.
