Actinidia arguta x melanandra 'Ken's Red'
'Ken's Red' is a unique hardy kiwi variety known for its red-skinned and red-fleshed fruit, which is mild, very sweet, and low in acidity. It is a low-chill variety, making it suitable for warmer climates like the Gulf states, where it ripens in late June. One of the largest hardy kiwis, it crops heavily, but may exhibit biennial bearing (producing heavily one year and lightly the next). Requires a male pollinator for fruit set.
