Hachiya produces large, top-shaped fruits, reaching up to 4" long. The skin is glossy, deep orange-red, and becomes even more beautiful as it matures. The fruit is soft when ripe, with a rich, sweet flavor and is usually seedless. It ripens in the fall, from mid-October through November. The tree is vigorous, upright, and spreading, growing up to 12 feet tall, and is easy to care for. This soft-type persimmon is commonly grown in California and is sold in markets across the U.S. during the fall season. The tree also offers striking red fall leaf color. Space 12' circle.
