Corylus avellana x Americana OSU – Hazelnut

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship Filberts (Hazelnuts) to California, Oregon.

This is a cross between ‘Sacajawea’ and OSU 616.055. The tree is known for its high yield, producing mostly round, medium to large kernels with outstanding flavor. It has a vigorous, upright growth habit with slight spreading. Additionally, it has a high level of tolerance to Eastern Filbert Blight.

Pollination:
Pollinators include Grand Traverse, Gene, and The Beast.

Nut Drop:
Occurs from the end of August to the first week of September in New Jersey.

Zones:
Best suited for Zones 5-8.
