Morus alba ‘Nikita’ – Nikita White Mulberry
Nikita White Mulberry is a compact, early-ripening selection of white mulberry originating from Crimean breeding stock. It is valued for its large, juicy, and very sweet white fruit, which ripens earlier than many other mulberry varieties, extending the harvest season.
Trees are naturally smaller and more manageable than many mulberries, making this an excellent choice for home landscapes where space is limited. The fruit is excellent for fresh eating and can also be used in jams, baking, and preserves.
Nikita is self-fertile and begins producing at a young age under good growing conditions. It performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and shows strong adaptability once established.
