Morus alba ‘Paradise’ – Paradise Mulberry
Paradise is a semi-standard white mulberry selection known for its large leaves, vigorous growth, and abundant production of sweet, medium-sized fruit. The berries are ivory-colored with a light purple blush when fully ripe and are very sweet and pleasant for fresh eating.
This cultivar was first brought to attention through plant material observed in Pennsylvania in the 1970s. It has since been appreciated for its productivity, adaptability, and reliable performance in a wide range of growing conditions.
Trees typically reach up to 15 feet in height with a similar spread, forming a broad, productive canopy. Fruit is produced in abundance and is well suited for fresh use, preserves, and baking.
Paradise performs best in full sun with well-drained, adaptable soils and is highly tolerant of heat and humidity. Once established, it is a strong, low-maintenance fruiting tree.
