Diospyros virginiana – American Persimmon

Due to import restrictions, we are unable to ship persimmons to CA.

An extremely cold-hardy, early-ripening persimmon, originally from Rochester, New Hampshire. This native American variety begins ripening as early as September and continues through November at our nursery. The self-fertile tree produces pumpkin-orange fruits measuring 1 ½" to 2" in diameter, with some being seedless. A compact grower, it is well-suited for home orchards and wildlife plantings.

Spacing: 10'–12' circle
