Diospyros kaki – Hana Gosho Persimmon

The name Hana Gosho translates to "Flower of the Imperial Palace." This persimmon grows into a mature tree reaching 12–15' tall, with vigorous, upright growth and strong scaffold branching. It is an early-bearing variety with consistent yields and produces a small number of male flowers.

Hana Gosho is a late-ripening variety. The fruit is best enjoyed while still firm. It is a favored variety in Italy and is also known as Giant Fuyu.
