Hachiya is a classic soft-type Asian persimmon known for its large, top-shaped fruit that can reach up to 4" long. The skin is glossy, deep orange-red, and becomes even more vibrant as the fruit matures. When fully ripe, the flesh is soft, rich, and very sweet—usually seedless—making it ideal for fresh eating or baking.

The tree is vigorous, upright, and spreading, reaching up to 12 feet tall. It is easy to care for and produces a striking red fall foliage display in addition to its abundant fruit. Hachiya persimmons are commonly grown in California and widely sold in U.S. markets during the fall.
