Diospyros kaki – Izu Persimmon

Izu is a very early-ripening, usually seedless, Fuyu-type persimmon. It can be eaten firm like an apple or allowed to soften while still maintaining excellent flavor.
- Ripening: Almost a month earlier than other Fuyu-type persimmons.
- Fruit: Burnt orange in color, ripens and colors up earlier than other varieties.
- Storage: Keeps well after harvest.
- Tree Size: Naturally dwarf.
- Spacing: 10' circle.
- Growing Zones: 6-10.
